Processing of Personal Data

Eduhouse has its own data protection and legal department. You can contact us via email at dpo@eduhouse.fi.

Where is the information stored? Where can it be found and in which countries? Do you transfer my data to the United States?

We do not currently transfer personal data related to our training services outside the EU. All personal data remains in Finland or elsewhere within the EU.

Do you sell my information forward?

No, we do not.

Are you the data controller or data processor? I think you should be the data processor.

We are primarily the data controller unless our customer has wished to define the scope, nature, purposes of use, retention periods, and other essential aspects of the processing of their users' personal data. You can read our privacy statement here.

To whom do you transfer my data and why? Do you transfer my information to trainers? What about partners?

We only transfer your data for justified reasons. We generally do not transfer participant data to our external content providers (trainers). If we do, we have agreed upon the processing of your personal data through contracts and defined the use solely for the purpose of planning and implementing training. We may also transfer your data to our partners who conduct marketing, sales, or consultation on our behalf. Even in these cases, we have made appropriate agreements related to data processing and confidentiality.

What data do you collect about me?

We collect the following information about you: name, work email address, and training completion records. We use data collected from service usage to improve our services in a pseudonymized or anonymized form.

Do you collect sensitive information about me?

No, we do not.

What information can my employer see? What about my colleagues? What information do you disclose to my employer and why?

We may disclose your information to your employer's or subscriber organization's designated contacts in the form of an organization report. The organization report informs designated contacts about how much their organization has used our service, which trainings have been completed, and when. The organization report is part of our service delivery and relates to the subscriber organization's interest in knowing how our service has been used.

I want to see my data. Please provide me with it.

Please send a data request to asiakaspalvelu@eduhouse.fi. The data request will be confirmed separately through the VismaSign service, where you must log in with strong authentication.

Your data request should include the following details:
  • Which information you would like to review
  • Whether you want to review all your data or data from a specific time period
  • The format in which you would like to receive the data
  • Your name
  • Your contact information (such as email address or phone number)

I want you to delete my data immediately.

Under applicable data protection laws, you have the right to be forgotten. However, due to binding contracts, laws, or regulations, we may not be able to delete all of your information. Please send your data request to asiakaspalvelu@eduhouse.fi.

For what purpose do you use my data?

We use your information to provide our training services and for service communications. We use data collected from service usage to develop our services in a pseudonymized or anonymized form.

Do you transfer my data between your group companies and countries? Who sees whose data?

We may transfer data for administrative reasons to ensure operational efficiency.

Why and how is 365-login implemented? Why is admin consent necessary?

Your organization's contact person will receive instructions for the service implementation. Logging in is very easy and straightforward to set up using the video guide on Eduhouse Admin Consent Consent EAPP on YouTube. Admin consent is done on behalf of all users, so that each user does not need to give their consent separately. This, in our experience, also provides better usability for our service.

I ask questions through chat. What information about me is stored?

You can ask your questions either anonymously or with your name. Your name, your questions, and our answers are stored in our database.

How long do you keep the information I send to customer service? Where will it appear?

We keep the personal data processed by customer service for as long as the contract between our customer and us is in effect and afterwards to respond to legal claims, among other reasons. We do not keep any information longer than necessary in light of the purposes for which it was collected.
